Then I started to know the difference between Linux and Mac OS

In this blog, I will share what I know.

Linux Vs Mac

First, we start from Linux then we will see about Mac OS

Linux:

• Linux was released on 17 September 1991
• Basically, it is open-source, free and everyone can access it.
• Linus Torvalds who developed the Linux OS based on Unix.
• We need skills to use the Linux operating system and it’s not like Windows.
• It needs skills so it is difficult for beginners who interested and using Linux.
• Linux is Developed by using the C language.
• Already I said Linux is based on Unix.
• There are many distributions in Linux. For example, Ubuntu, Fedora, Red Hat, Arch Linux, Kali, Linux Mint, Kubuntu, Zorin etc.
• The users of Linux are more than 250 million around the world.
• Also, Linux is a Kernel-based Operating System.

Now we will see about Mac OS

Mac OS:

• Mac OS was released on 24 March 2001
• It is not open-source and not everyone can access it
• Apple Inc. is the developer of Mac OS
• When compared to Linux we don’t need more skills to access Mac OS and it is simple to use.
• Very easy for beginners who using Mac OS
• Linux is developed by using C, C++, and Swift Languages
• Similarly, Mac OS is based on Unix as Linux
• There are no distributions in Mac OS like Linux
• When compared to Linux the users of Mac OS are less and only 100 million people using Mac OS.
• Mac OS is also a Kernel-based Operating System.
